Islands District Council is located in New Territories consists of a peninsula and 236 islands.. The Council currently consists of 22 members with 10 of those elected quadrennially through a plurality voting system, 8 ex officio members and the remainings appointed by the Chief Executive of Hong Kong at the start of a term.
